FICALAB

It is our laboratory for incubating and accelerating new projects related to soil ownership or topics that are connected to our mission.

FICALab hosts projects at various stages and has partnerships with research institutions, public bodies, NGOs and collectives. See the projects below.

In partnership with the Tide Setúbal Foundation, we are developing a system for collaborative maintenance.

The project trains tenants in plumbing, electrical and civil repairs with the aim of developing autonomy in the maintenance of their homes and generating income.

In partnership with the Desis Lab at Parsons School of Design in New York, we are bringing the intelligence of public service design to FICA and similar institutions.

The program is funded by the Henry Luce Foundation's Democracy Ethics and Public Trust.

MudA was a gathering of civil society initiatives working to promote the right to land and the city through non-profit property and fair rent in urban and peri-urban environments.
